AP2: EUPHA/ European Public Health Association

Introduction of the organization
EUPHA (European Public Health Association) is an umbrella organisation for European public health associations and institutes. EUPHA was founded in 1992 and has over 80 members from 47 countries, including 45 national public health associations. EUPHA is an international, multidisciplinary, scientific organisation that brings together some 40,000 public health experts for professional exchange and collaboration throughout Europe. EUPHAnxt is a unique network within EUPHA for students and young professionals, including early career researchers and policymakers. It currently has 4077 members. It aims to involve future generations in the European and multidisciplinary networks of public health associations. EUPHA has 26 theme-based sections or networks covering nearly all fields of public health. These sections bring together researchers, policymakers and practitioners for knowledge sharing and capacity building. Currently, these sections each have more than 2,500 members. EUPHA is the co-organiser of the European Public Health (EPH) Conference, the largest annual scientific public health event in Europe, bringing together more than 2,500 professionals. EUPHA is the European Public Health Week organiser and the publisher of the European Journal of Public Health with Oxford University Press.
